Focused Applied Behavior Analysis Services
Community-Based Services are available to ALL clients, as appropriate and will be arranged by appointment. It is critical for treatment success for our clients to access support where it is needed, providing it is safe and productive for all involved.
Option One Comprehensive Services
Comprehensive services are designed for clients who require intensive support services due to significant behavioral needs. Clients who qualify for comprehensive services are often in need of direct support throughout the weekday.
Clients qualifying for comprehensive support will have access to a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at the Practical Behavior Solutions, LLC Center in Dunnellon Monday through Friday, for up to 8 hours per day, depending on the intensity of the treatment plan. Clients attending private schools or public schools that promote wrap-around services will have access to their RBT and BCBA during the academic day. Team members from Practical Behavior Solutions, LLC will participate in any planning meetings or other relevant appointments as required and when invited by the parent/guardian.
Clients qualifying for comprehensive support will also have access to the center on specified Saturdays for social skills groups and group outings (when appropriate). Parents/Guardians will participate in monthly collaboration meetings, training sessions, and voluntary support groups. Siblings of clients will be invited to participate in monthly sibling groups offered on specific Saturdays.
Full-day clients who have reached school age participating in comprehensive treatment must be enrolled in homeschool or another academic alternative. To assist parents, Practical Behavior Solutions, LLC has teamed up with Back to Basics Learning Academy, LLC, to provide parents with a convenient option for homeschool support. Back to Basics Learning Academy can provide parents, if they choose, with access to certified teachers to assist with portfolio management and tutoring services. Parents will have to enroll in homeschooling with their school district.
Option Two Focused Services
Focused services are designed for clients who require behavior support services for behaviors that require intensive intervention strategies for limited amounts of time. An example of a focused plan may include services delivered for a specific amount of time (two hours per day, three times per week, etc).
Medical professionals will often refer clients diagnosed with severe Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Explosive Mood Disorder, and other associated mental health issues for focused ABA services. Most often, these services are provided in collaboration with medication management clinics, mental health counselors, and other service providers. Some physicians will refer clients for focused ABA services prior to prescribing medication or prior to increasing medication dosages.
Clients participating in focused services will have access to the Practical Behavior Solutions, LLC Center in Dunnellon M-F from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm during school weeks and 7:30 am to 5:00 pm when school is closed. Focus service clients can also access the Saturday programs as appropriate. Parents will have access to monthly collaboration and training meetings. Parents can choose to participate in optional support groups. Siblings of clients will be invited to sibling events as appropriate.
